Salter’s book provides the reader with a concisely written guide to diagnosing and working with both Sex Offenders and their victims. She tackles a century worth of documentation on the subject of sex offenders managing to simultaneously dispel many of the fallacious arguments concerning the disorder while presenting a well informed description of most sex offenders. This book is particularly nice in that Salter uses many real cases from her practice to give the piece more clarity as well as a more human impact that many texts on the subject fail to provide. As a teacher, I found the section on “Identifying Sexually Abused Children” particularly useful. A great read!
