I bought this as a bday present for my… friend. :)

I showed up at his place for what I thought was a 5 person *small family dinner* which ended up being a 12 person massive family dinner. So discretion was key. My local shop had recommended this prodect for twice the price. Needless to say that wasn’t an option, so I took a chance with the Amazon no return policy. That being said. It WAS quiet, its noticable in a very very quiet area while on one of the very high settings, otherwise it’s fairly silent.

Now, the drawbacks. There’s no way for the operator to tell if the product is on or off. Or which speed it’s on. When you move it moves, now I didn’t go for the internal fun… so I don’t know if it’s different inside, but for me, it moved everytime i got into the car, or sat or stood… which can be a bit tickly. The last drawback is that it doesn’t seem to be able to turn on and off as reliably as I’d like. I could tell he was trying to turn it on occasionally when he would get an evil glint in his eye… but it wouldn’t flip on. Conversely it would go on when I least expected it… so his family thought I was a complete weirdo by the end of the night.

In short, its excellent for sound, but unreliable for the on/off switch. The various speeds seem to always register, so once you get it on and off… that works well at least.

Also keep in mind it does take some harder to find batteries, they give you 12 watch batteries and 2 remote batteries, but neither are regular size. So when you buy this toy keep in mind that it only runs for a few hours continuously, make sure you take out batteries when you’re done playing, and think ahead, if its going to be more than 6 hours worth of play… buy more batteries. They give you enough for 2 play sessions (12 watch batteries, 6 at a time and 2 remote batteries, 1 at a time).

Hope this helps everyone out there! And happy playing… I sure had fun… until he sent me home without dessert :(

I bought this for my girlfriend as a Christmas present.

I bought it from a retail store so I ended up paying about 2.5 times the Amazon.com price for it; and for that price, I would say it is definitely NOT worth it. For the price listed here, it might be.

Pros: It is very quiet on all settings, the higher ones are louder, but not as loud as expected. The intensity variables are great. Of all the remote eggs I looked at, this was the smallest, making it the most physically discreet.

Cons: First and foremost is battery life. It’s TERRIBLE! For both remote and egg, we put new batteries in at the start of playing with it, and they were drained about an hour later. The A23 (remote) batteries are best found at hardware stores for retail, I would imagine the 76A (egg) batteries are best found at hobby shops. We buy our replacements from Amazon because they’re remarkably cheaper. Second is reliability: even with fresh batteries the signal was not consistently received by the egg to change the function, or turn it on/off.

We have played with it both internally and externally. Personally she prefers the internal stimulation, but we think the added resistance of the body plays a part in the lack of reliability, and the heat produced by her body overworks the batteries. We have noticed longer battery life and better signal reception when playing with it externally, but since internal is preferred that’s what we mostly use it for.

Bottom line: I would recommend this at the Amazon.com price only, and would say be ready to change the batteries often if you plan on using it internally.

This vibe is nice and quiet. Inserted it is unnoticeable, and when worn pressed against the outside it can be played with in just about any public/outdoor place. The different speeds are great(she really like 3 and 6). Downside- signal strength. It was 10-15 ft max, but variable and inconsistent when my girlfriend was wearing it, I often had trouble operating it from even 4 feet. It seemed I could turn it on, but had difficulty turning it off.
