First, the description is giving diameter at the smallest point possible, which doesnt provide much help in shopping, rather than a girth circumference which would have. Anyone could then take a measure tape curve it around and see just whats going where. To give you an idea, its so thick it snapped the cover I tried to put on it. It cannot be used for its intended purpose.
Second, the paint is quite realistic and it does have a real feel, BUT the paint began to rub away on its first use with water based help. It is my understanding you HAVE to use water based as silicon can deteriorate the material, but even water based rubs away the lifelike paintjob. The packaging is silent about this point.
So basically if you want something anywhere near normal size you should look elsewhere. If you want wide and thick, go for it. The suction seems to hold up even on a vertical surface.
