Maybe, but Jean-Claude Van Damme is French and this has not stopped him from starring in violent, conservative movies. And what about Jackie Chan and Jet Li? I just can’t understand why there hasn’t been a movie producer who noticed the guy. Trejo is getting old, and apart from Machete, he’s been relegated to supporting roles all his life.
It’s a goddamn shame.

I do not understand why Danny Trejo is not a AAA action movie star. To me, as far as badassery goes, he’s up there with Schwarzenegger and Statham.
